The Haas VR series of 5-axis profiling vertical machining centers provides a cost-effective solution for large five-axis machining operations. Travels are 64" x 40" x 30" for the VR-8. Each VR is equipped with a unique dual-axis spindle that features a fully enclosed gimbal design to protect gears from chips and coolant. The VR head provides an unheard-of ±32 degrees of travel on the A and B axes for complex geometries and undercuts.

VR series machines come standard with a 7500-rpm, 40-taper spindle that is powered by a 30-hp vector drive for peak performance throughout the entire rpm range. Each machine also features a 32-pocket automatic tool changer that swings out of the enclosure for unobstructed machining. Other standard features include a programmable coolant nozzle, remote jog handle, 8 MB of program memory, rigid tapping, high-speed machining software with full look-ahead and Haas’ Visual Quick Code conversational programming system.
